Maha Atef is the co-founder of Selsal online gift store and art school. She's a self-taught artist with a pharmacy degree. She's been designing and making gifts and jewelry with polymer clay since 2013 and for as long as she can remember, she had a great passion for art and drawing. Along with her younger sister Menna, she was a high school student in those days, they started Selsal in 2013.
And for a whole year, she was working in a pharmaceutical company while simultaneously growing her own business. Menna and herself were in a position to create a variety of designs for jewelry and key chains. It wasn’t until she realized how much people like their products that she decided to leave her pharmaceutical career behind and own her own business. Despite her family’s worries about such a decision, they have fully respected her will and supported her once she made the leap. With their help, Selsal studio was formed in the ground floor of the family home. And this is how Selsal was born from her desire to finding success at something she's passionate about.
As she love to share her knowledge with people, two years ago, she has started Selsal School to do so through a number of online courses in drawing and polymer clay. Through Selsal School online courses, she can share her experiences and all what she learned from her mistakes with students from all over the World. And that makes her so excited about what she do. And this also makes her so curious to learn more so she can teach more.
Her online courses in polymer clay and ink markers on Udemy and Skillshare have more than 2000 students from all over the World. And two of her courses have Udemy's badge as "Highest Rated" courses!
