June 2021 Artist Trading Card Exchange
Our Create with Me! Community has been creating Artist Trading Cards (ATC's) for an exchange. We want to invite you to be a part of the exchange. You do not need to be a part of the Create with Me! Community, you just need to enjoy creating.
If you would like to take part, even if you have not joined us or do not know what ATC's are, everyone is welcome.
So, what are Artist Trading Cards or ATC's?
According to Wikipedia...Artist trading cards (ATCs) are a conceptual art project initiated by the Swiss artist M. Vänçi Stirnemann in 1997. He called it a Collaborative Cultural Performance. Artist trading cards are 21⁄2 by 31⁄2 inches (64 mm × 89 mm) in size, the same format as modern trading cards (hockey cards or baseball cards). They are self-made unique works or small series, signed and dated on the reverse by the artist/producer, exchanged and collected by the people who participate in the collaborative performance.
Or... They are small pieces of art in any medium
Some guidelines:
- Each piece should be handmade but can include any medium
- Each piece should be about 2.5" x 3.5" (some people are very picky about the size, I am not)
- The back should have some information about you, the artist.
- Your cards can be all the same or similar, or completely different. It is your art, you express as you like.
- They can contain words or not, again this is your art.

5 cards per trade, $3 for shipping cost.
If you want to do 10 or 15 cards, just add $1 more for shipping for every 5 cards (eg: 10 cards would be $4, $15 cards would be $5) Max 15 cards per person, please.
All cards will be sent to me and must be received by the end of June. Please take into consideration the distance and the mail times so you have enough time. For example, Australia and Europe may want to have them sent by the first week of June to be sure they get here on time.
Once received I will divide the cards up and mail them back to you by the first week in July. You will receive the same amount back as you sent.
Please note there are many different skill levels and this exchange is meant to encourage us in our art and expression. Please be kind and grateful for the mix of cards you receive back. No card or artist will be excluded.
