Episode 112 featuring Alexia Bartholomew: Eagle of Encouragement

Alexia and I spoke about how writing helped her heal from her childhood trauma, and continues to help her heal. Alexia also spoke about her new podcast ‘Eagle of Encouragement’.

Alexia was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Through her journey, she has worn the hats of daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, soldier, veteran, college graduate, overcomer, and now a writer. She has written poems like "I Am Eagle, Watch Me Soar", "I Am”, and "Surrender To Your Presence" which is currently in the Library of Congress. "You’re Not The Only One…who has been hurt, violated, abused and has Overcome" is her second self-published book that encourages people to remember that they are not the only one going through things in life. Her first book, Father Give Me Heart, is available for purchases in stores and online at places like Amazon, Words Unite Bookstore, and Barnes and Noble. Alexia currently resides in San Antonio, Texas where she is currently enjoying food (except pig feet), hanging out at SeaWorld, and enjoying the diversity of cultures that the city of San Antonio has to offer.
